Our wide experience of building and improving press sections has highlighted several upgrades that are applicable to many press sections. Older press designs had long open draws where the sheet was unsupported; on more modern designs these draws were shortened, and sometimes eliminated altogether. Often, the modifications involve nothing more than the relocation of some felt rolls. Furthermore with rebuilds of this type, we can improve the threading systems in the press section and into the dryer section, giving greater safety and improved efficiency.
