Walmsleys have designed and built overboarding chutes, moonpool chutes and bend limiters for deployment of umbilicals offshore. Chutes were built to DNV standards and included design reports, manufacturing record books and load tests.

Chutes can include:

• grillages, support structures and sea fastenings

• certified and tested lifting points

• finishing in a NORSOK paint system

• dedicated lifting accessories

• central rope pulleys can be included for heavy umbilicals to prevent the wire ropes used for deployment from cutting the chute
